SECTION 1419
STORMWATER MANAGEMENT


NOTE: DRAINAGE IN CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP IS SPLIT BETWEEN THE LITTLE CONEMAUGH AND STONYCREEK RIVER BASINS. MANDATORY STORMWATER CONTROLS (see Ordinance Page) PURSUANT TO A COUNTY WIDE COMPREHENSIVE STORMWATER CONTROL PLAN ARE IN EFFECT FOR THE LITTLE CONEMAUGH RIVER WATERSHED. AREAS OF THE TOWNSHIP WITHING THE STONYCREEK DRAINAGE BASIN ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE STORMWATER CONTROL PLAN, BUT ARE SUBJECT TO THE CONTROLS OF THE FOLLOWING ZONING ORDINANCE SECTION.
SECTION 1419 STORM WATER MANAGEMENT
No buildings or structure shall be erected, constructed or altered unless the entire parcel conforms to storm water management standards within a period of 120 days from the date of issuance of a building permit or initiation of construction, which ever comes first. Where this Section is stricter than other provisions of this Ordinance and other ordinances of Conemaugh Township this Section shall prevail. Single family residences which total driveways and building do not exceed 20% of lot area and farm operations which buildings and impermeable surfaces that do not exceed 10% of lot area are exempt.
